Help a Friend January 14, 2010

Remember my friend Keltie.

Ya know the one who has been through the wringer time and time again with their adoption form Uganda.

Well, they are in need of a bit more money as this thing drags on and on.

Someone has generously donated some REALLY cool stainless water bottles for them to sell.

The price a bargain at $15

The cause, travel money and more legal expenses for their adoption.

The joy?

Having a cool water bottle, and knowing you played a part in giving hope to two children.  Helping a dear sister realize her hearts desire, to finally be with her children.

I’d say it’s a win win 🙂

Why you’re at it, lift them up, along with the several other families from Canada, fighting and praying for their children to be released to come home.

Can you imagine?  You’re in the hospital with your sweet precious newborn.  You love them and are over the moon for this sweet gift given to you from above.  Finally you are all healed up and ready to take you precious bundle home.

BUT WAIT

In walks some government official that says they are sorry, you can’t take your child home today.  They tell you there is some things they have to check out first.  It just can’t happen.  Not only that but, you find you will have to spend thousands of dollars to fight to get your baby back.

Stunned and devastated you have no choice but to leave the hospital.

How would you feel?

What would you do?

What would your friends and family do?

Well my friends, Keltie’s story is no different.

She has not one but two children, that she has not been able to hold in her arms for over six months.  THEY ARE THEIR CHILDREN.  They have a mother and father and a brother a sister, waiting for them.  Aching for them.

I think Jesus had something to say about doing unto others as you would want done to you.

What would YOU want done for YOU if you were in this situation.

I know how we would want to be treated in this situation, and have acted accordingly.

Please pray for these families.

Never stop  lifting them before the Father.

He hears our prayers, and delights to answer.

I am in tears. Thank you for knowing my heart. Thank you for loving my family and the others who are waiting. I will never be able to repay you but I will never stop trying.
