The UPS man, and the Holy Spirit February 24, 2010

We have been studying the Trinity during family worship for the last week or so.

Obviously a difficult subject for the most biblically astute, let alone children.

One morning Grace pipes up and informs us she has it all figured out.

With raised brows, we ask her to tells us what she knows.

She proceeds to tell us, “It’s just like the UPS man!”

What???

“The Holy spirit is like the UPS man!”

What???

“Well, God the Father wants to send us a gift.  The gift is Jesus.  The Holy Spirit is the UPS man, He delivers the gift.”

If only it were that simple.

I think this post title should receive an award. It’s awesome! And I also think that this explanation should be forwarded to all the theological colleges. Across the world. 🙂

    Made me feel better.

So cute! I love it. The perfect explanation for a child. This should be published. It would help explain it to so many confused people.

  3. That is too cute! Wow… out of the mouth of babes, right? You need to write a children’s book about this. That is such a good way to explain the Trinity. Very sweet!
