“Both sides would do well to remember the dignity of this house?”

Dignity?  What dignity?  This house is an embarrassment to all Americans, regardless of their opinion of this bill.  This house has trampled the will of the people time and time again.  This house has sold itself out, whoring around with every special interest group around.  Selling themselves, and their constituents to big government.  Stripping themselves and the people of their liberties and trashing justice.  Ignoring the very vows they took to uphold and defend the constitution.  I suppose I should at least give them credit for not being cheap whores.  After all, their agendas are costing this already crippled nation trillions of dollars.  Then again, perhaps the only thing worse than a cheap whore, is one who parades around dressed as something they are not.  Seeming all the while to be stand up citizens while in public, afterward, shedding their clothes and showing their true self behind closed doors. While they live high and mighty, slapping themselves on the back, for all their great works, they heed no regard for the very people they have sworn to represent.  Dignity? I say the house lost their dignity years ago.  I say it has been far too long since we the people have seen any dignity in Washington.

This is the people’s house, and the moment a majority forgets it,  it starts writing themselves a ticket to minority status.  If we pass this bill there will be no turning back.  It will be the last straw for the American people.  In democracy, you can only ignore the will of the people for so long and get away with it.  If we defy the will of our fellow citizens, and pass this bill, we are going to be held into account by those who have placed us in their trust.  We will have shattered those bonds of trust.”

Are we going to hold them in account?  Is this the last straw?  Have the American people had enough?  Are we going to finally stand up and do something?  Are the individual states going to say to the federal government that they have gone to far?  Are they going to assert their 10th amendment rights?  Are we going to stand up and say, “No more!  You will not continue to take this country down the road to socialism!  You will not continue to rob our children and grandchildren of their futures!  You will not continue to rob our citizens of their wealth and their ability to generate it!  You will not continue to get involved with private business!  You will not continue to waste tax payer money to bail out car companies, banks, and those who were irresponsible enough to buy more house than they could afford!  You will not continue to waste tax payer money on government investigations into major league ball players and their steroid usage!  You will not continue to write unconstitutional bills, passing them into laws which erode our freedoms!  You will not continue to tell us how to raise our children!  You will not continue to silence our speech!  You will not continue to make shady deals, behind closed doors, and away from the watchful eyes of your constituents.  You will not be in control of my body, my children’s bodies, and our health care!  Last and most importantly, you will not use tax payer money to fund the taking of unborn life!”

The trust was shattered long ago.  What will it take for the people of America to wake up?  I fear the passing of this bill is not yet enough to awaken those who have long been in slumber.  I fear this is only the beginning.  The beginning of the end, of the America, our founding fathers had in mind.   Let us be ever mindful too, that when our government takes the step to fund and pay for abortions, our nation will cease to be nation with God’s blessing.  That my friends should bring us all to our knees.  That should be enough to wake us up, and say along with John Boehner, “Hell no you won’t!”

I feel as though I missed something by living under a rock way up north of you!

But good speech. Maybe you should go into politics?
