A nice secluded cabin in the Texas hill country with my love. It was all quite
Everything was just perfect. Right down to the decor. It doesn’t get much better than an antique bed frame painted red.
We saw pretty flowers
Had beautiful views
We ate yummy food. I was craving a good hamburger, and did I ever get one. I nice big juicy hamburger. Served medium rare, with goat cheese, sun-dried tomato pesto, and spinach on a freshly baked whole wheat bun. Along with a side of the best french onion soup. Mmm.
Then we went to The Emily Ann Theater.
While we waited for our show to begin we walked the beautiful grounds and had some fun with the giant chess set
and visited a beautiful veterans memorial
We shared a kiss under the 200 hundred year old Betrothal Tree.
Then we settled in for a wonderfully performed play, of the tale in which there has never been more woe, than that of Juliet and her Romeo.
Afterward, we headed back to the cabin for some fresh Dutch Apple Pie, from the Wimberly Pie Company. Then a nice relaxing time in the hot tub under the stars.
In the morning, we had a lovely breakfast, and a spectacular drive in the hill country. We finished things off with a very cool glass blowing demonstration at Wimberly Glass Works.

Yay for date night getaways! I am so glad you all could have a night together. That’s the best gift! God is good–He brings us such great refreshment.
I have not stopped thinking about this place since you posted this. What was the name of the lodging? I can imagine you guys had an amazing time!
