This makes me very sad. I guess I can’t get past the fact that a family felt that they made a mistake in relinquishing. That makes me very sad.
I personally don’t feel any reason to be sad, because of all of this not one but two babies will have loving families and this will no doubt have a HUGE impact on the orphans in that country. I would venture to guess that the Lord will use this to bring MANY children into families there. Where currently there is a culture of death that doesn’t value a child with special needs, just maybe God will move hearts and many will find loving mommies and daddies that believe that god does not make mistakes.
It would be sad if there was no redemption. At some point we all come face to face with our failures, mistakes, and sin. Thankfully there is a redeemer, who loves us and can turn our mourning into rejoicing. It would be tragic if this family was just left with their broken hearts, instead what they have is hope and the desire to love where before they were afraid to, and the opportunity to be the change in the Ukraine.
It is good, it is a perfect picture of God working all things together for our good. I see it as a opportunity to praise Him for His unfailing love, not just for the orphan but for us.
I don’t disagree with that. I guess I just had to grieve the circumstances that led to this. It is a beautiful example of God turning all things for good.
